Join Women in Film & Television-Houston for a WIFT-H Works event to discover what it takes to create and run a successful web series. Tara Jayn, co-creator and co-star of the web series Natalie and Tara Try Stuff, leads this in-depth workshop to share her experiences and answer questions like:

• How do you go from great idea to launching a web series?
• How do you cast a web series?
• How do you find an audience?
• How do you make money with a web series?
• How long does it take to reach profitability?
• How do you find corporate sponsors?
• How do the production phases of a narrative web series differ from a reality-based series?
• How long should episodes be?
• How do you balance a “day” job and a hectic production schedule?

About Tara Jayn

Tara Jayn is the co-creator and co-star of the weekly comedy reality series Natalie and Tara Try Stuff, now in its third season on YouTube. Other web series she has created and starred in include Social Medium, Getting Crafty with Maggie and Maude, and You Are The Resistance. Her short film, Imaginary Friends, is now available on YouTube after a successful festival run in 2018. Her latest short, Panic Button, is currently appearing at film festivals across the U.S. Television credits include guest appearances on Grey’s Anatomy, Parks and Recreation, and Greeks. Tara was born and raised in Houston but has called Los Angeles home since 2006. She holds a B.A. in Acting from University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance and is a member of SAG/AFTRA.
